The film is slated for release on September 16, 2011. The film was shot in Nepal, Edinburg, Switzerland & India.  The Love story in its first season starts with mere adolescent attraction between a Punjabi boy Harry, and a Kashmiri girl Aayat, in a small village of Punjab. It develops into young love between them in season two. Their love realizes its own depth in the hours of separation throughout season three. In the fourth and final season their love culminates into togetherness. But not before sacrificing a lot personally and learning the truth behind universal love. It is a passionate love story which sees, as its background various shades of life, questioning us and yet not becoming indulgent.

Listen to the romantic song “Rabba” composed by Pritam Chakraborty with lyrics penned by Irshad Kamil

Don’t know why but I am not finding the trailer that attractive or grabbing but still have a look at the trailer & the Rabba song

READY- Salman’s Back- Music Review and Trailers

So Salman is back with Ready. Starring Asin, Paresh Rawal and directed by Aneez Bazme ,this is a remake of a South movie name by same name. Supposedly the movie is romantic comedy. Music is by Pritam and being a Salman movie after Dabangg the movie and music both have its own expectations.  Lets see if it lives up to the expectations musically at least.

Dhinka Chika is tipped to be the next Munni Badnaam. Sung by Mika Singh and Amrita Kak this song is full Tapori style song. Copied from already a hit Telegu song Ringa Ringa - the original by Devi Sri Prasad this song is well done in the Bollywood version too. Surely will make you get up and move. Next one is Meri ada bhi giving a Punjabi flavor to the Album. Sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Tulsi Kumar (WHY ON EARTH HER) the song starts with the popular ‘mera laung gwacha‘ lines. A Dance track wiht lots of Dhols but I feel something is a misfit in the song. Either its Rahat Saab or Tulsi  Kumar or something.

Another track that lifts the mood of the album is - Character Dheela - a song which is already making noises all around. A typical Salman song and surely suits him too. With Lyrics penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya ans dung by Neeraj Shridhar and Amrita Kak, this one is a sure winner out of Pritam’s hatA cracking, peppy song full of masti. If its a Pritam’s album then iot will have a romantic song in it. So here it is- Humko Pyaar Hua by KK and Tulsi Kumar. english Lyrics in the beinging of the song putts me off though, and the song sounds like previous Pritam’s song. Didn’t find anything new. Can be heard just once that also coz of KK.

Overall the Album has 4 songs out of which 3 are foot tapping catchy numbers. Out of which I feel 2 will be chart busters. Pritam delivers in parts here. I don’t need to say Salman fans will anyways love it. Lets wait and see now how the film fares.

Here is the Trailer of the movie and the popular Character Dheela Song for your eyes only -

Dum Maro Dum- Trailer

So Rohan Sippy is back with Dum Maaro Dum. Starring Abhishek  Bachchan ,Rana Daggubati, kangna ranaut,Bipasha Basu, Prateik Babbar, Aditya Pancholi. Deepika Padukone flaunts new cobra tattoo on her torso in a scintillating item number and makes news. Bipasha stars in the film as a Goan junkie opposite Telugu actor Rana Daggubati. Abhishek plays an inspector in the movie. While Pritam has remixed the original track, Bosco of Bosco-Caesar fame has choreographed the number. The movie deals with drugs, sex and sleaze in this beach heaven, which was recently rocked by the drug nexus scandals.

The trailer looks appealing with a good remix of the original song. Check the trailer here-

Ajab Prem Ka Gajab Music Review

Ajab Prem ki Gajab Kahani is Pritam’s eight album this year. Each of his albums/music this year has been worth listening to it once. With APGK he comes again with an energetic album full of some fantastic singers. This album is refreshing, energetic, hummable and has a variety of songs in it. This album has 8 original songs and 6 remixed ones. Ajab-Prem-Ki-Gajab-Kahani

3 of these songs are already swinging people on TV/radio etc. “Main Tera Dhadkan Teri” is a fun energetic song which makes the mood for the album. Sung by KK, Hard Kaur & Sunidhi Chauhan( Whoa that’s a threesome), this song is full of fun & energy.RAP bit by Hard Kaur  is good and adds to the track with Sunidhi & KK providing their melodies.  There is a remixed version of the song too but I prefer the original.

For me the best song of the whole album comes next. “Tu Jaane Na” sung by Atif. Actually in this album Pritam has gathered few very talented singers with their own style. and Atif leaves a mark here in his own way. Sung in his own high pitch, the song instantly strikes a chord with the listener. A typical Atif like romantic song with some beautiful lyrics by Irshad Kamil. With chorus  like  …

kaise bataye kyu tujhko chahe , yaara bata na paye ,
batein dilo ki dekho jo baaki , aankhen tujhe samjhaye , tu jaane na …

the song is taken to another level all together. This track can be called one of the season and worth listening again n again.( that’s why it has been playing on my mp3 player regularly) . This song has 3 more versions where the unplugged version by Kailash Kher is another to listen. Same song…same lyrics but a different style…The Kailasa singer makes a statement here…Brilliant I call it. Other two reprise/remixed version are OK.

What does “Shenai” reminds you of?? Shaadi/Bidaai etc…But in “Oh My God” Pritam proves it otherwise & brings out the fun element with the shenai. Sung by Mika & Sunidhi, this song is full of fun element and forces me to place in in between a comic situation in the movie.(by the way whole movie looks comical only).  Till now in the album I have heard Mika, Sunidhi, Atif, Hard Kaur, KK and now enters one of my favorite…Alisha Chinoy (I love her voice). She along with Atif teams up to give us a hummable romantic number “Tera Hone Laga Hoon” . Seems to be taken out of  Kismat Connection“Is this Love” song format (m not saying it is copied) the song is very soothing and Alisha’s voice makes it even better. Atif (always singing on a high note) matches her along with English inputs from Neeraj Shridhar making it a nice ballad.

The  list of the singers gets longer with Javed Ali & Jojo. They bring the next romantic track on the album “Aa Jao Meri Tammana”. I  think this is the only song that can just pass by. After this song comes another fun song” Prem Ki Naiyya” by Neeraj Shridhar ( he was the only one left ) & Suzzane D’mello. A typical Neeraj  track with all the groovy music in it . The last to come is a short & sweet (not really) rap by Hard Kaur.  I this is targeted for the DJ’s :P

Overall with all these singers, APGK provides a variety entertainment for the listeners. It has the romantic number, it has the dance numbers ..in short it has everything. A must listen.

Love Aaj Kal: Pritam Does it Again

I Should Say that Pritam has done it again. Not just he has”inspired” songs from old songs (the nagin music) or Pakistani songs (Aahun Aahun), but he hasn’t left any stone unturned to make this album worth listening to. All songs on the first listening will hit you…but osmeday you have to get bored of it.

The album has 10 songs out of which 3 are remixes. With the singers like Neeraj Sridhar, KK, Sunidhi & Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Jazzy B the album is ready for a punch.

The album opens with the song you ncan hear on TV/Fm stations these days “Twist”. With music “inspired” from the popular naagin tune with other bits and peices here and there, the song is a foot tapping number. Neeraj Sridhar puts jaan in this music with his vocals and this song is soon going to be a chartbuster for sure.

The second song “Aahun Aahun” starts with Jazzy B singing his version of a highly popular Pakistani song “Kadi Te hans Bol ve” by Madan Maddi. So first two songs are highly “inspired” songs it seems. in this song Neeraj joing Jazzy B to give some twist to the song. Both Jazzy B & Neeraj Sridhar teams up to give us another song worth listening.

Ajj Din Chadheya is typical Rahat Fateh Ali Khan song.Do I need to describe the song anymore :) The song is slow, soothing with aalaap’s from Rahat. The lyrics of this song are also good.

Thoda Thoda Pyar, is a “sangeet” song. This is Pitam mixing today’s music with folk music and Sunidhi provides vocals for the same. Not too great according to me.

Chori Bazari is sung by Neeraj Sridhar, and Sunidhi Chauhan. Can’t get enough of Neeraj it seems. He still seems to sing same kinda songs everywhere. A very interesting, realistic, songs it sounds but still the music looks to me that I have heard it before. The Lyrics are very interesting and nice. This song is a good package all though.

KK has always impressed me in the past. The song “Main Kya hoon” sung by KK looks like a disappointment for me. I expected a lot from KK and this song doesn’t impresses me a bit. Besides KK’s vocals nothing interests me here.

Ye Dooriyaan sung by Mohit Chauhan, is a good number. The song is slow and Mohit sings it well. Worth hearing it once.

Overall the album is worth a lsiten. Except Twist, Aahun Aahun & Chori Baazari, no other songs will be on the charts it looks.
