Shanghai- A Must Watch Trailer

Dibakar Banerjee this time brings us a political thriller- Shanghai . Starring Abhay Deol, Emraan Hashmi, Kalki Koechlin, Prosenjit Chatterjee and Farooq Shaikh, the film is based on the life of Politicians and their greed. Kiss-Master Emraan is flaunting a paunch and Abhay sporting a moustache.  The movie is based on a book titled Z by Vassilis Vassilikos and is slated to release on June 8, 2012.

The trailer delievers some punch. Abhay Deol reminds me of his Manorama 7 Feet Under role. I think with this Emraan will break his kisser boy myth and will show what he can deliever. The movie has a cameo by Anurag Kashyap. I loved the trailer. Let me k now what you think-

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara- Trailer- First Look

So here is the trailer of one of the most awaited movie of the year. Zoya Akhtar’s Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.  Starring Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol, Farhan Akhtar, Katrina Kaif and Kalki Koechlin, the movie has music by Shankar Ehsaan Loy and is written and directed by Zoya Akhtar.

Being termed as the bachelor trip of the year ZNMD is about  Abhay Deol is engaged to Kalki. He goes on a extended bachelor party- 3 week road trip with his friends Farhan Akhtar and Hrithik Roshan. The only problem is Arjun is too tied up with work. All 3 gang up in  Barcelona and set off for a trip of their lives.

Won’t reveal everything right now. The trailer looks good but still could have been better. The Senorita song looks interesting and the movie was also shot at the famous Tomatina festival. Here is the trailer

Aisha – Official Trailer

Aisha is a story that centers around the typical Delhi life of an upper and middle class group of friends. They have a strong family support, they have a group of family friends they have grown up with and they have their best friends from school and college. In Aisha, you have four different kinds women – There is a girl like Shefali who is 22 and brought to Delhi by her relatives with the sole purpose of finding a nice boy for her and settling her down. Then there is Pinky who would love to settle down but no boy seems to be interested in her, Aarti who is looking to climb any and all ladders using her sex appeal, whether corporate or social and then finally there is Aisha, a confident single girl who is happy to be the way she is and is in no hurry to settle down.

As Aisha’s romantic angles go ridiculously wrong, triangles dissect and quadrangles form, she realizes that she is not very good at matchmaking. She makes a hilariously tangled mess of every body’s lives around her only to realize that she may lose the perfect match for herself. Aisha then has the daunting task of finding her own path in front of her, even if it means cutting a route through the thick swampy jungles of the mess she has created. At least she’ll do it while looking good and smelling great!  Aisha is an all out romantic comedy that leaves cupid at the drivers seat.Aisha is every woman, trying to figure out herself, her way and her life.

Sonam looks like a diva in Aisha and Abhay as usual smart and charming. an unusual pairing according to me which will do wonders.

Upcoming Movies- First Looks

Got hold of few more first looks of upcoming movie.

First is Zindagi Na Milegi  Dobara. Directed by Zoya Akhtar, this movie has a star cast which boasts of Farhan Akhtar, Abhay Deol, Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif, Kalki Koechlin and some new Spanish TV actress  Adrina Cabrol. I wonder what’s up with Indian movies and foreign actresses. Are they easy to give in for hot steamy scenes or trying to make an international appeal. Anyways, the movie from the makers of Dil Chahta Hai is supposedly now the sequel but pertains to the youth. Keep an eye on it.

Next is Udaan, directed by Vikramaditya Motwane & produced by one of my fav Anurag Kashyap, this one was the only India film in this years Cannes. Starring Ronit Roy, Ram Kapoor, this movie is coming of age  story about a teenage boy. Making some news in the Cannes, this is another one to watch for.

Now this one is big or small news I don’t know. Or I rather don’t want to know. Vipul Shah’s Action Replay. Starring Akshay Kumar & Aiswarya Rai Bachchan, this movie is not to be seen. Because it has FLOP written all over it. Now don’t wait for this.

Now better than the above one, I don’t mind watching Love,Barack. Mallika Sherwat might be missing in Bollywood but she is turning heads somewhere else.  The first look of this was unveiled at Cannes. Directed by Dough McHenry, this one is about Politics & sex. Interesting isn’t it?? Better is the Tag Line- Politics Makes Strange Bed Fellows.

AK Film’s- Anil Kapoor’s company & PVR pictures presentation- Aisha.  Directed by Rajshree Ojha, this movie is based on Jane Austen’s classic EMMA. Starring Abhay Deol & Sonam Kapoor, the movie is tipped to be released later this year.
